I provide in-depth legal and policy analysis on environmental governance in the Mediterranean region, with particular focus on the effectiveness of environmental law, coastal zone management, and compliance with the Barcelona Convention and its ICZM Protocol. My doctoral research established a comprehensive analytical framework tracing Lebanese environmental legislation from the Ottoman Empire through the French Mandate to present-day developments, comparing it with French and international law.
